Vegan Food Swap Reveal – June 2012

This month my partner in vegan food swappery was Jodi from Simply Fresh. She sent me several delightful local Ottawa products and I really enjoyed getting introduced to them.

So what was in the box:

Michael’s Dolce Jam
Orange & Ginger Jam

Major Craig’s Chutney

Classic Caribbean Chutney

Kawalsa Salsa
Smokey Spicy Salsa (not shown)

Siren Bakery Granola
Maple Pecan Granola

I thought it was pretty cool that these were all companies/individuals that Jodi had spoken to on her website before. It’s nice to sort of “meet” the companies behind the products in both eating them, and learning a bit more about them beyond the usual corporate/web presence.

JC finished the Kawalsa Salsa before I  could really get a decent picture of it. It had such interesting flavours, and totally demonstrated truth in labelling since this “Smokey Spicy Salsa” was so smokey, and so deliciously spicy.

Thanks Jodi! You can read about what she received from the Vegan Cookbook Afiacianado on the Simply Fresh blog here.

Now for the test case of a link share. Vegan food swappers – please share your links! I’m going to experiment with different services, and this month it’s InLinkz. Please let me know what you think.
