It’s been tumultuous at times, but overall, I’ve had a positive experience with it. That’s how VeganFoodSwap was born, and why I started participating in FoodiePenpals.

Last month (the first month) I didn’t receive anything from the person I was paired with, and it sucked. Don’t be the guy that signs up for a swap and flakes out. While I enjoy the act of putting something special together for other people (probably way more than receiving anything) it still kinda hurts the old feelings when someone doesn’t put any effort into mailing something out. So don’t do it! (My sadness is not direct towards mail related issues, because stuff gets lost in the mail more often than I like.)

This month I was paired up with VeggieNook, which was great and awesome because she’s a sweetheart, and I had kind of gotten to “know” her a bit better from the month before through the VeganFoodSwap.

So what was in the package:

Seaweed sushi crack…ers. – We at the JorEl house have recently gotten very into nori based snack products.
