Last week I\u00a0received\u00a0my inaugural vegan swap<\/a> from The Vegan Cookbook Aficionado<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Vegan<\/a><\/p>\n

Stuff from Community Naturals<\/a>\u00a0(food bars, dried fruit, and wasabi peas which I’m snacking on right now),\u00a0Congo Cowboy Gourmet<\/a>\u00a0– mango barbecue sauce, a couple of food bars from Via Foods… and the thing that probably made me smile the most… a jar of Saskatoon Berry Jam from Over the Hill Orchards<\/a>. An organic orchard in Saskatchewan (my old stomping grounds<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\"Vegan<\/a><\/p>\n

I sent my swap to Jill<\/a> at Vegan Cuts<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month, and I think it was pretty well\u00a0received<\/a>. I genuinely loved finding stuff that people might enjoy, with a focus on local producers and farmers market finds. It’s always nice to introduce people to stuff from my local community, even if that “community” happens to be a very giant and item filled Toronto. What can I say? I’m lucky. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\nHow It Works:<\/strong>
\n1. Sign up by completing the form at the bottom of this page. This is for Canadian Residents only, solely to limit the amount of customs issues you might experience with cross boarder shipping. It might be fun to do an international swap in the future, stay tuned.
\n2. On\/about the 7th of the month, you\u2019ll receive an e-mail from me containing the name and e-mail address of your Vegan Food Swap match. You\u2019ll need to contact them to get their mailing address and any food specifics (allergies, gluten-free, etc.)
\n3. Collect items that you\u2019ve purchased or made and box them up. Let\u2019s keep the spending limit under $20 Canadian.
\n4. By the 15th of the month, ship your package to your Vegan Food Swap match.
\n5. On the last day of the month, post an entry on your blog about what you received, and be sure to include a shout-out to the person who sent you the box!<\/p>\n
