You put in your order on the website before 3pm the day before, and then you get a nice hot lunch the next day sometime between 11:30am and 12:30pm.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"It's in the Bag by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6637831127\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7152\/6637831127_021300cbfa.jpg\" alt=\"It's in the Bag\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Things I love:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delicious yummy hot vegan Indian food for lunch.<\/li>\n<li>Environmental responsibility. They provide you with a\u00a0litter-less\u00a0lunch. You get stainless steel tiffins filled with food, in a reusable\u00a0bag. Then the next day &#8211; they take it all away and you don&#8217;t have to worry about it. Feel like rinsing it? Cool. Don&#8217;t want to bother? Also cool.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Social Responsibility and Careers at Tiffinday\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiffinday.com\/other.php?id=7\">Socially responsible hiring practices<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; providing a living to those who may face barrier to employment.<\/li>\n<li>the <a title=\"Tiffinday on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/tiffinday\">twitter<\/a> and <a title=\"Tiffinday on Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Tiffinday\">facebook<\/a> feeds &#8211; good links, local food related posts, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve ordered from them twice, and both time&#8217;s I&#8217;ve been very pleased (and inspired jealousy from my coworkers). The first time was back in December. It was cold, I was still new at work, and wanted some kind of nice cozy comfortable lunch without trudging outside to get it.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know how I stumbled upon Tiffinday for the first time, it might have been <a title=\"Tiffinday on Yelp\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.ca\/biz\/tiffinday-toronto\">yelp<\/a>, or the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/report-on-business\/small-business\/start\/business-planning\/mumbai-office-lunches-come-to-canada\/article1857595\/?service=mobile&amp;tabInside_tab=0&amp;page=2\">Globe &amp; Mail<\/a>, since both sound like me, but either way, I&#8217;m glad I did.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>From my first order&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My collection of tiffins:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"The Tiffins by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6637833357\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7154\/6637833357_b7923b8aca.jpg\" alt=\"The Tiffins\" width=\"500\" height=\"435\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timpa Wheels<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"Timpa Rolls by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6637834147\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7034\/6637834147_a77582642a.jpg\" alt=\"Timpa wheels - Tiffinday\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a>\u00a0These were an incredibly interesting texture and flavour. Sweet, salty, tangy, it&#8217;s Swiss chard layered with curry-flavoured chick pea batter, rolled up, steamed, and sliced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Szechuan Dosa<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"Szechuan Dosa by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6637831893\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7029\/6637831893_11dde8d749.jpg\" alt=\"Szechuan Dosa\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a>\u00a0A blend of Chinese and South Indian flavours in a dosa. With rice, lentils, and vegetables in a spicy sour sauce. Paired with a dollop of coconut chutney and lentil soup.<\/p>\n<p>For my second order, most recently, I ordered a tofu dosa, lentil samosas, and chocolate chip cookies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lentil Samosa<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"My lunch from Tiffinday by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/7009889535\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7207\/7009889535_76ba847c39.jpg\" alt=\"Lentil Samosa - My lunch from Tiffinday\" width=\"374\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Vegetarian samosas filled with spiced husked mung lentils with a dash of tamarind chutney. Spicy, yummy, would eat again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tofu Dosa<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"My lunch from Tiffinday by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6863777156\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7108\/6863777156_d8b3470f81.jpg\" alt=\"Tofu Dosa - My lunch from Tiffinday\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" \/><\/a> This was surprisingly spicy, but also very delicious. The dollup of coconut chutney is always a welcome addition to a spicy meal. Dosas also come with a tiffin tray filled with lentil soup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chocolate Chip Cookies<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"My lunch from Tiffinday by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6863776848\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7189\/6863776848_d0aba80852.jpg\" alt=\"My lunch from Tiffinday\" width=\"374\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was pretty attached to trying these cookies. Mostly because of the &#8220;chocolate&#8221; part of the cookie. They are from <a title=\"LPK Website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lpksculinarygroove.com\/\">LPK&#8217;s Culinary Groove<\/a>, and up until this point I hadn&#8217;t tried anything of theirs outside of the Vegetarian Food Festival. Very yummy (and inspired us to pick up more stuff from LPK later in the week).<\/p>\n<p>I think it&#8217;s safe to say that as long as I still work in their delivery area, I will be ordering from Tiffinday again.
