In addition to being a great experience, it was also for a great cause FoodShare, and in support of their fantastic educational programs and other campaigns. Patate e Fagioli: Chickpea-White Bean Pur\u00e9e with Chard Sweet Potato and Tomato Confit<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katherine Hall<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hallskitchen.ca\/\">Hall\u2019s Kitchen<\/a> &#8211; Rockin\u2019 Moroccan Stew<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Regardless &#8211; they were both delicious. I was very excited to hear that the Patate e Fagioli was available at <a href=\"http:\/\/danforth.pizzerialibretto.com\/\">Pizzeria Libretto on Danforth<\/a> (555 Danforth, Toronto)<\/p>\n<p>Because of this event I discovered a few new local alcoholic beverages that I might actually want to drink again.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/frogpondfarm.ca\">Frogpond Winery<\/a> had an awesome 2008 Organic Cabernet Merlot. And word is, some of their products will soon be available at the LCBO. Excellent.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Southbrook - Triomphe Chardonnay by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6799427410\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7052\/6799427410_f52e03d6f6.jpg\" alt=\"Southbrook - Triomphe Chardonnay\" width=\"500\" height=\"377\"><\/a><br \/>\nThe person at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southbrook.com\">Southbrook Vineyards<\/a> was super friendly, and we tried both the 2008 Triomphe Cabernet Franc and the 2008 Triomphe Chardonnay.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Black Oak Brewing Co by MeShellG, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prairiev\/6945540207\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7068\/6945540207_01a79f2ca0.jpg\" alt=\"Black Oak Brewing Co\" width=\"500\" height=\"377\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Old time favourite, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.millstreetbrewery.com\/\">Mill Street Brewery<\/a> was there, but we didn&#8217;t drink any &#8211; since we still have a few bottles in our fridge. But I wasn&#8217;t really familiar with <a href=\"http:\/\/blackoakbeer.com\">Black Oak Brewing Co<\/a> before last night, but their Black Oak Nut Brown is definitely going on the list of beers I actually like (which isn&#8217;t all that common).<\/p>\n<p>Great event &#8211; Great cause &#8211; Great company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday&#8217;s Recipe For Change event was amazing, delicious, and a delight to attend.
