This gets there. <\/span> <\/time><br \/>\nPrep time: <time datetime=\"PT5M\" itemprop=\"prepTime\"> 5 Mins <\/time><br \/>\nCook time: <time datetime=\"PT20M\" itemprop=\"cookTime\"> 20 Mins <\/time><br \/>\nTotal time: <time datetime=\"PT25M\" itemprop=\"totalTime\"> 25 minutes<\/time><br \/>\nYield: <span> Approximately 1 cup of hollandaise sauce or enough sauce for 4 Vegan Eggs Benedict&#8217;s<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> <em> <span>3-4 Tablespoons<\/span><\/em> Vegan <span>margarine<\/span> (I used soy-free earth balance) <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><em> <span> 2 Tablespoons<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<span> flour<\/span> (I used corn flour) <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> very light <span>pinch<\/span> of <span>turmeric<\/span> (this is solely for colour, so it&#8217;s skippable if you don&#8217;t like the taste) <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> <span>pinch<span> of <span>cayenne pepper<span> (it helps with colour, and spices it up a smidge) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> <em><span>1 cup<\/span><\/em>\u00a0unsweetened <span>soy milk <\/span> (I used Natur-a unsweetened soy milk) <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> <em><span>3 Tablespoons<span> <span>nutritional yeast<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> freshly squeezed juice of 1\/2 an organic <span>lemon<\/span> (bottled lemon juice isn&#8217;t going to cut it here)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p>Step one: Get a little wisk, you&#8217;ll need it.<br \/>\nPut the margarine in a small pot on the stove. Burner set to medium or medium-low (no burning here) \u00a0Wisk in the flour, turmeric, cayenne together with the margarine. It should be smooth at this point. \u00a0Add soymilk, and continue wisking.\u00a0Add nutritional yeast &#8211; (you guessed it&#8230;) keep wisking.<\/p>\n<p>The lemon juice\u00a0<em>makes<\/em>\u00a0the hollandaise, it&#8217;s traditionally a butter egg sauce with some sour notes, so don&#8217;t forget how important it is. Half a lemon&#8217;s worth of juice should be enough.
