Just a handy list of vegan and vegan-friendly events including fundraisers, panel discussions, demonstrations, food justice focused conversations, race and food, amongst others. I endeavor to only add events from groups and organizations that I know have reasonable community accountability and offer safe spaces.
Events are primarily in Toronto, but also include events around Ontario, Northwestern New York State, Northern Michigan, and other places that are a short(ish) drive away.
I try and include venue accessibility information with every post. Not all events are accessible, but I will include that information wherever possible.
For local farmers market information please visit The Toronto Farmers Market Network for listings. Several Farmers Markets have specialized vegan vendors, in addition to offering all the beautiful local produce grown right here in Ontario.

Shameless Food Issue Launch
April 8, 2015 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM$5
Shameless Magazine is holding a launch party for the latest Food issue!
Shameless magazine is an independent Canadian voice for smart, strong, sassy young women and trans youth. It’s a fresh alternative to typical teen magazines, packed with articles about arts, culture and current events, reflecting the neglected diversity of our readers’ interests and experiences. Grounded in principles of social justice and anti-oppression, Shameless aims to do more than just publish a magazine: we aim to inspire, inform, and advocate for young women and trans youth. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization and rely on readers and supporters (like you!) to get this much-needed magazine into the hands of youth across the country. Published three times a year, Shameless is available in independent bookstores and Chapters/Indigo locations across Canada and select locations in the United States.
They’re holding a party to celebrate their last issue! The launch party features DJ Zehra and snacks, so come listen to some great music and then dance the night away! We will also be hosting a food demonstration courtesy of D-Beatstro.
$5 admission (comes with a FREE issue of the magazine!)
This event is ALL-AGES!
The venue is accessible and offers gender neutral washrooms.
Disclaimer: I (usually) have nothing to do with organizing these events. Incorrect information or omissions may occur but I have tried my best to be as accurate as possible. Please check the original event posting for the most up to date information.
This is partially a personal calendar of convenience, but also a calendar of events others might also be interested in. If there are any events that should appear on this (or that I might be interested in) please let me know!
Accessibility notes are added to most events – where I know or can find the information. If you have more accurate information, please let me know!
